Football | Tufts to host undefeated Trinity on Homecoming

While there has been much said about Tufts’ 26-game losing streak, the facts are simple: Despite 10 losses of eight points or fewer, including a 13-10 defeat last Saturday against Bowdoin, Tufts has not won a game since opening day of the 2010 season.

Women’s Tennis | Jumbos suffer 8-1 defeat at MIT

Freshman Conner Calabro captured the Tufts women’s tennis team’s only victory against MIT this Tuesday, with the Jumbos falling 8-1 to the Engineers. It was the team’s first loss of the season, as the only other event of the season that was scored in team format was Tufts’ 7-2 win over Babson on Sept. 18. The Jumbos were beaten out in every matchup except the No. 3 singles, in which Calabro easily defeated Krystal Lai of MIT 6-1, 6-1.

Sailing | Open Four performs well at first fall regatta

The crew team kicked off its fall season at the Textile River Regatta, hosted by UMass Lowell, on Sunday. There were two boats crewed by Tufts at the race, one in the Open Four division and the other in the men’s Club Eight division.

In its penultimate tournament of the fall season, the men's golf team finished fourth out of eight teams at the Rhode Island College Fall Invitational on Friday. Led by junior Alex Zorniger, who shot a 77, Tufts finished with a team score of 330 in the one-day tournament, tied with Suffolk University, and 29 strokes behind tournament winner, Johnson and Wales University.

Women’s Crew | Tufts faces wide range of competition in Vermont

Women’s crew kicked off its fall season at the Green Mountain Head Regatta in Vermont on Sunday, and fielded a total of 15 boats. Like most fall races, the Green Mountain Head was a head race, with boats going off at five-second intervals and the rowers racing against the clock.

The men's soccer team lost its second game of the year on Saturday to the third-ranked nationally Amherst Lord Jeffs before returning home to top Trinity 2-0 less than 24 hours later. Tufts now holds a respectable 3-2 mark against in-conference opponents in what has been a competitive NESCAC season this year.

Gann's strong singles showing highlights ITA weekend

Tufts women's tennis captain Samantha Gann finished in the top 16 at the ITA Regional Championships at Williams College over the weekend, ultimately falling 6-1, 6-1 against No. 3 seed Kara Shoemaker of Williams in a rematch of last year's second round match.
