Somerville celebrates the unveiling of public art installation ‘Letters Rewoven’

Somerville celebrated the unveiling of “Letters Rewoven” on Nov. 8, a new public artwork by local artist Anna Fubini at Lou Ann David Park. The piece was created through the combined efforts of community members, who wrote messages on scraps of paper that were turned into a pulp mixed with wildflower seeds. The mixture was then plastered onto the sculpture’s panels and will eventually grow into flowers. The installation was supported by the Somerville Arts Council and will remain on display until spring 2026.

New H-1B visa fees raise concern among international students

A substantial increase in the H-1B fee, issued by President Donald Trump on Sept. 19, may significantly affect the ability of international students at Tufts to work in the United States after graduation. The new one-time fee of $100,000 upon submission of any new H-1B visa applications, applies to all petitions filed after Sept. 21.

Club pickleball, founded this semester by sophomores Luke Steiner and Kekoa Pastron, aims to provide a space for students to be able to both learn the growing sport and play it competitively. Currently, the team has over 100 people on their roster and is only growing.
