‘The Drama’ lacks proper dignity in favor of uncomfortable discourse

The most recent A24 film, “The Drama” (2026), a romantic comedy written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, features notable co-stars Zendaya and Robert Pattinson. After a pre-wedding dinner, a group of friends plays a game revealing the worst thing they’ve ever done, leading Emma (Zendaya) to reveal a shocking incident from her past. It’s a bombshell to everyone — especially her fiancé Charlie (Pattinson) — when Emma nervously admits she had planned a mass shooting when she was a teenager. This revelation becomes the hurdle blocking their path to marriage as both try their hardest to work through it.

From GNX to DtMF: A defining Grammy night

The 68th annual Grammy Awards showcased veteran artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga and others taking home multiple Grammys, alongside new artists like Olivia Dean making their mark on the industry. The Grammys, held on Feb. 1 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, were hosted by comedian Trevor Noah.

Tufts Volleyball Shows Resilience at Salisbury Quad

The Jumbos hit the road for the first time in the fall 2025 semester for their first tournament of the season in Salisbury, Maryland at Maggs Activities Center this past weekend. The schools that participated in the series were the Tufts Jumbos, Salisbury Sea Gulls and the Gettysburg Bullets.

Life in STEM: Tufts hires systems engineer Lauryn Spearing

Assistant Professor Lauryn Spearing joined Tufts University’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering this semester. Spearing obtained her bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and doctorate degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and, she was an assistant professor at the University of Illinois Chicago before joining Tufts. The Daily sat down with Spearing to discuss her transition, research and goals.

Men’s squash falls to No. 9 Cornell in hard-fought match

Returning from Thanksgiving break, men’s squash welcomed Cornell University this past weekend. Tufts beat the University of Rochester 6–3 at home, leaving them with a record of 2–3 as of Nov. 23. The Big Red are ranked No. 9 while the Jumbos are ranked No. 10. The matchup was a highly intense game, with the Jumbos losing 8–1. Sophomore Rutva Samant secured the lone win for the Jumbos.

Tufts football takes down Middlebury 17–7

In a game packed with excitement, Tufts football ended its season with a winning record of 7–2 coming out of their most recent senior day win against Middlebury on Saturday. At the start of the game, Middlebury won the coin toss and deferred to Tufts, letting them receive the ball first.
