"Issue as Muse 2008: A Night of Artistic Inspiration" features 11 different performance groups in the areas of dance, a capella, acting, mime and poetry, and is sponsored by the IR Program.

Experts from BU examine 'The Pakistan Crisis'

Experts from Boston University offered historical context and political explanations for the cultural and governmental issues facing current-day Pakistan at a discussion in Cabot yesterday. Shahla Haeri, the director of BU's Women's Studies Program and an associate professor of cultural anthropology, spoke alongside Ambassador Husain Haqqani, the director of BU's Center for International Relations and an associate professor of international relations. About 50 people attended the talk, titled "The Pakistan Crisis."

Kumar' star to speak about Obama

Actor Kal Penn of "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" fame will speak at Tufts tonight about his support for Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and the importance of student involvement in the presidential candidate's campaign. The event will be held in Braker 001 at 7 p.m., and is sponsored by Tufts Students for Barack Obama. A debate-watch party will follow with students gathering to see the Democratic presidential candidates square off in Los Angeles.
