Holiday party brings foster families to the Hill

Just hours before the winter's first snowflakes sprinkled the Hill yesterday, students, alumni and local families gathered in Aidekman Arts Center to usher in the winter at the 20th annual Tufts Foster Children Holiday Party.

Tufts Table Tennis Tourney takes off this week

As final exams near and Jumbos become increasingly tense, one on-campus group has found a way to help its peers relieve stress. This week, students looking for a break from the library can trade in their pencils for paddles by entering the Tufts Table Tennis Club's (TTTC) annual ping-pong tournament.

Major: Undecided brings comedy to Distler

Comedy sketches will get a little controversial tonight with Major: Undecided's biggest show of the semester, "Major: Undecided Refutes Evolution." Actually, the title has little to do with science, religion, or monkeys. Instead, group members chose the name because their first performance time conflicts with "Is God a Manmade Invention?" - a debate sponsored by The Freethought Society at Tufts.

An Arts article in yesterday's paper entitled, "On World AIDS Day, Torn Ticket II invites you to "Cabaret,'" incorrectly identified the director of the on-campus musical "Cabaret" as Tufts junior Virginia Anderson. Anderson is actually part of the drama Ph.D. program through the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences.

Building Bridges brings local ninth-graders to Tufts

For most Tufts students, trips to Boston's Chinatown are accompanied by sushi, sake bombs or long rides on the Fung Wah bus. But for Jumbos enrolled in Tufts' Building Bridges program, visits to Chinatown are part of a broad effort to improve and influence the community there.
