Looking beyond the Islamofascism rhetoric

I notice that right-wing ideologue and red-baiting anti-intellectual David Horowitz (of the newly founded "David Horowitz Freedom Center") took time out of his busy schedule to submit a letter to the Tufts Daily (Oct. 17) in response to a Daily op-ed piece of mine that criticized the so-called "Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week" Horowitz has been organizing with the hopes of generating more support for war in the Middle East by vilifying Muslims.

In Our Midst | Tufts Medical School student finds professional clarity through volunteerism in Nepal

At the foot of the Himalayas, among roads bustling with taxis, stray cattle and small motorized rickshaws, stands the building of the National Orthopedic Hospital (NOH). It's called 'jihad' for a reason

J.Lo takes no chances on lackluster album 'Brave'

She's an actress, singer, dancer, fashion designer, perfumer and producer. Let's face it, Jennifer Lopez has truly mastered being one thing: herself. Movin' on up: Jumbos react to possible T fare hike

Remember the good old days when paying for a ride on the T was as simple as dropping whatever change was in your pocket into the turnstile as you walked through? Or when a busy Friday meant a free trip on the Red Line? But after a recommendation last month by the city's Transportation Finance Commission (TFC), the days of cheap T rides may be over - and then some.
