Let me begin with a very brief story. In a Western country not long ago, a man walked into a police station and told an on-duty officer that he had a stalker. He said his stalker would watch him all day and all night, judging every move he made. If he did something the stalker didn't like, he'd be punished; if he did something the stalker really didn't like, he'd be buried in a pit.

A call for change and dialogue

Following the strong response to last week's Viewpoint, I wrote the followig speech and intended to give it in front of Deans Sternberg, Glaser and Reitman yesterday at the Town Hall Meeting. However, since they insisted that the topic of the meeting remain "intellectual life" and not the sad state of the social life on campus, I couldn't express many important points. Now I can.

After playing under a slew of names throughout his musical career, Will Oldham has used "Bonnie 'Prince' Billy" as his artistic conduit since 1999. Lately, Oldham seems to have set himself at a maddening pace of music production, creating compilations and making guest appearances since his last major release.

Campus Cooking

As a tribute to my Chinese roots and to my mother, Chinese food is the order of the day. My hope is that these dishes will offer two things that Panda Palace cannot: an honest glimpse of Chinese food culture and that homemade, DIY goodness no take-out can approximate.

Correction

Due to an editing error, a statistic in a Viewpoint entitled "Tufts' racial diveristy - or lack thereof?" by Paula Kaufman incorrectly stated that five percent of the Class of 2010 identified themselves as African-American - this is the percentage of admitted students who identify themselves as such. Four percent of the enrolled class identify themselves as African-American.
