Run, Javorius, run!

Running back has been by far the most difficult position to predict this season with an unusually large number of high profile backs suffering season-ending injuries. In their place, players like Thomas Rawls (30/209/1),Spencer Ware (11/96/2) and Darren McFadden (29/129) demonstrated an ability to ...

Experience will be key to Tufts' success this season

Of the 13 years that coach Carla Berube has led the Tufts women's basketball team, the 2014-15 season may have been the most decorated. Back-to-back NESCAC championships, back-to-back NCAA Div. III semifinal appearances, the United States Marine Corps/Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) ...

New-look offense has Jumbos ready to push for NESCAC title

Last year, an average possession for Tufts (13-12, 6-4 NESCAC) was a slow walk up the floor, five or six passes, an attempt to give the ball to a post player and a shot. This year, the offense has been completely restructured; the team’s roster shows no position other than “guard” or “center.” The ...

Week 11

This week marked a new era of incompetence in quarterback play in the National Football League. While many teams … some teams … really just the Patriots, have seen exceptional quarterbacking all season long, the majority have been mired in mediocrity. Here are some names you might not expect.

Tufts celebrates best season since 2001

In 2012, the Jumbos failed to win a single game. In 2013, the Jumbos again ended up 0-8. Last year, the Jumbos began the season with a pair of streak-breaking wins, to finish 4-4 on the year. It looked like attaining a winning season was an unattainable goal for Tufts. The team had not managed such a record since 2007, and a 6-2 season seemed like a ridiculous aim.
